BEHIND THE MACHNE...

Angela Ben-Kiki is the sole proprietor, ceative designer and maker at GGS with a passion for sustainability, all things vintage, and gardening with nature.

My early creative work as a designer, craftsman and seamstress led me on a path between visual merchandising, graphic design, styling, theatre arts and eventually as a local antique dealer growing my passion of vintage interiors into my own mid century modern brick and mortar shop in the Tremont neighborhood in Cleveland, OH.

After taking time away to grow our family my desire to evolve again grew as an artist. So in my free time up on the 3rd floor of our home, I began developing my early skills yet into another direction... one of a kind handmade accessories. Several years later I moved my industrial sewing machine to Tremont after my husband and I renovated our tiny two room studio and so began my new space for sewing production. I foraged for all things vintage starting first at home and local for cabinets, tables, equipment & decor. My graphics for my logo, tags & signage while styling my showroom for a place to style photos to market my work.

My love for quality handmade goods resonates with classic styling and smart design with purpose and longevity.

For me, my aesthetic has always been about integrating the old with the new. The natural progression for my GGS concept was to aim towards sustainability with all aspects of design. My work entails all areas of production including layout, cutting, packaging and shipping.

My one of a kind products combine vintage textiles, components and leather with quality new limited edition woven fabrics while handcrafting products one at a time into small collections of what I call Green Garage Goods.
